Jungle Palace is a Government approved Homestay and is in existence since 2002. We have 5 well maintained Deluxe Rooms which are very cozy, comfortable and clean with a spotless ensuite bathroom.

Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary
Periyar Tiger Reserve, Thekkady, is an example of nature’s bounty, with great scenic charm, rich bio diversity and providing veritable visitor satisfaction. Sprawled over an area of 925 Sq .km., Periyar is one of the 27 tiger reserves in India.
Zealously guarded and efficiently managed reserve is a repository of rare, endemic and endangered flora and fauna and forms the major watershed of two important rivers of Kerala, the Periyar and Pamba. Periyar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary (PNP) is a protected area. It is notable as an elephant reserve and a tiger reserve.

“Nice value for money homestay for a short trip”
Had booked this hotel after reading the trip advisor reviews… it’s a 3 storey building with 2-3 rooms on each floor… we got the room on the 3rd floor with a balcony with a jungle view… we could see deer from our balcony… The room was quite large with a big bathroom… The owner is quite helpful and though there is no intercom facility the service is quick as u just need to give a miscall to Rajesh, the owner of the property… Also, it is near to the market, hardly 15 mins walk and has some good restaurants nearby. The Periyar national park is also at 5-10 mins drive away.

Some people expect a lot for the peanuts they pay. Such is not the case with this place, firstly its not a hotel,its a home stay run by a family who resides seperately in the same home stay. Me and my wife visited Thekkady and stayed here for a night. the rooms are double the size of a std 5 star hotel room,so is their bathroom,amenities are basic and view form the room is killer-facing the jungle. The owner Mr. Rajesh and his father are very friendly and helpful. the hospitality and services extended were amazing.thanks to both of them. parking space is plenty and free, eateries are in abundance in and around this home stay. all in all had a wonderful stay,wish we cud have extended it if time permitted,highly recommend this place to all travelling to Thekkady who are looking for a economic yet decent place to stay.

We were happy to stay for 2 days with family, we had a good hospitality and value for money. The view behind the hotel was really good. You can see Deers coming from the mountains. Good restaurants around.
